Warren, Michigan, May 3, 2012 - Central Transport, a less-than-truckload (LTL) carrier, announced today it has converted its Vandalia, Ohio terminal into its Ohio Service and Operations Center.

“We are very excited about Vandalia becoming our Ohio hub because of its centralized location,” said Kyle Blain, Senior Director of Central Operations. “Positioning it closer to major terminals such as Detroit and Cleveland allows for earlier arrivals and more consistent 8 a.m. truck departures.”

The new facility has 140 doors with plenty of room for growth and a six-bay maintenance shop where on-site mechanics will be able to perform almost any repair needed. In addition, the 74,240-square-foot building has room for an inspection lane for all inbound equipment.

“Ultimately, this move will provide greater capacity to support company growth while ensuring we maintain a high level of service to our customers,” said Blain.

In addition to the Vandalia Service and Operations Center, Central Transport has more than 140 Service Centers nationwide.
