CENTRAL TRANSPORT ANNOUNCES OPERATIONAL NETWORK RECONFIGURATION
Warren, Michigan, November 4, 2011
- Central Transport, one of the nation’s most technologically advanced less-than-truckload carriers, announced changes in its operational network. The announcement was made today by Chief Information Officer CJ Wysokinski.
“Our customers will greatly benefit from these network changes,” said Wysokinski. “A smaller number of terminals will allow us to optimize our network by having more drivers available to create better pickup and delivery options for our customers.”
“A huge advantage is that there will be less handling of freight,” said Adam Blankenship, Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Pricing. “When freight travels through multiple terminals, there is higher chance of it becoming damaged or lost. With these changes, freight will move faster and have less chance of possible damage.”
All network changes will be completed by the middle of November.
It’s just one more way Central Transport is proving to be simple, affordable and reliable.
