NEW FREIGHT STICKERING PROCESS AND LOAD QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAM

- Central Transport, LLC, one of the nation’s most technologically advanced less-than-truckload (LTL) carriers, announces 2017 claim reductions.
As part of their ongoing effort to become more customer centric, Central Transport analyzed freight claim data from the past two years, finding significant improvement. The Company attributes the success as a result of multiple processes and initiatives including enhanced scanning technology, a new freight stickering process and Load Quality Assurance program, education on best handling techniques, and network enhancements reducing the overall number of touch points for regional shipments.
Not only did the Company find significant decreases in the overall number of claims filed from 2016 to 2017, they also found continued improvement in 2017. Filed claims in the past year continued to decrease each quarter with the last quarter being one of the lowest in company history in spite of growing bill counts and increased volume.
While pleased with the positive progress, Central Transport cites the achievement as just one of the exciting changes to come as they work to make more customer centric changes a reality.
